I just finished running all the copper for a new hot water baseboard system I am putting in my basement. I put bleeder 90's at certain places through out the copper. I rigged all the copper up to my air compressor with the hopes of pressure testing it before filling it with water. However, when ever I put air into the system the bleeder 90's don't see to hold air. The air is escaping through the threads of the manual key on the bleeder 90's. I have used teflon tape on the threads and cranked them down pretty good and still no luck holding air. Any thoughts? Am I missing a trick? Thanks.
