I have a melamine shelf/desk that has moulding on the edges. I need to know how to fill the seams so that when paint is applied, the moulding and the desk looks like one piece. No seams visible.

Thanks for the help.

(How do you pronounce that, by the way?)

The folks that make Melamine, like the folks that make Micarta and Formica have a special compound used for just that purpose. It's normally used where two pieces join each other to conceal the joint itself, as in an "L" shaped counter top.

You need to find a supplier for Melamine in your area (a cabinet shop should be able to tell you who to see), and tell them what you need. They probably won't have it on hand, but they can get it.
