I have a furnace that we are trying to convert from Natural gas to Propane. The kit comes with an orifice size of 1.25 is this correct? The reason I ask is my nephew (who is in the HVAC business) is having issues getting the conversion done. He says he can get the WC pressure to adjust but can not get it to dial in. The flame is not right it is too big to be sure.

Any help is appreciated.

Usually conversions involve a new gas valve and new orifices. I'm pretty sure you have to replace both.

i think i use #57 orifices when converting, those and the spring and screw in the valve. the kit that you buy to do this has all the pieces needed for your valve. sounds like he has some spare parts.
