thanks to tips from our site, the tile in livingroom is in and looks fantastic.

I found what we are going to use in the diningroom, tongue and groove bamboo. wife wants bamboo, found it on clearance at local superstore for $2 per foot.

we are on a slab, will level the floor first, as i did for the tile, looking for tips on this install.

did not get mfr name, most writing on the box was in chineese anyway!

is there a difference in the product that will cause me to float one, glue another, or nail a third type?

do i need to buy it or open the box and read instructions? until now i thought it was all pretty much the same, reading past posts on this forum has me wondering!

it is tongue and groove, 3/8 or so thick

thanks for any help

mike

Only an engineered Bamboo can be floated. An engineered Bamboo will have a core (maybe green) that is made up of sticks and stems and such.
the other kind needs to be nailed down.

nail, not glue? i guess i rent the nailer, and use masonary or cut nails? i can do that.

thanks!

Nailing into concrete is probably a bad idea.
Bamboo is not very stable, so a glue down would fail too.
