Hey folks,

I've got a few questions regarding under cabinet fluorescent lights.
I bought three differently sized GE under cabinet fixtures. The wires run from a switch in a chain to each of the three fixtures. So the first two fixtures in the chain each have an incoming and an ongoing wire. The third fixture just has one wire.

So I wired up the first one in the chain and (probably shouldn't have done this, I know) turned on the circuit to see if it was working properly. The light buzzed and flickered like it was trying to turn on, then failed. No smoke or anything, just turned off. I can't get it to work, so I didn't know if the bulb had burned out(?) or if I had somehow overloaded the fixture(?). I tested and there is power getting to the fixture.

So I wired up the next one.

That one I couldn't get to turn on at all, but there is power getting to the fixture.

So I wired up the third and final one at the end of the chain.
That one works, but it hums like crazy...just doesn't seem right.

ANyone know what is going on?
Did I somehow fry the fixtures and ruin them? Could it be bad bulbs? Any way of diagnosing the problem?

um, ok never mind....
after testing everything, turned out to be a loose connection in one of the wire nuts
at least its fixed.
