after fitting new faucets in bathroom no water comes out of any faucets in the house.

jaj, Welcome to the DIY forums.
Did you turn off the main water supply at the meter when you installed the faucet? If so, the gate in the main water supply valve probably dropped (broke off). No other reason I can think of without more info on the procedure you used when installing new faucet. Post back using the reply button at the bottom of this post. Thanks.

I turned off the cold water supply to the hot water cylinder at the cold water storage tank. The valve is quite new. Might still be faulty though!

When you said it affected ALL faucets, that told me it is probably ONE valve that is defective.
