Hi everyone thanks for taking the time to read this.
We live in michigan where the temps are about 40 degrees during the day right now. we have just purchased a berm house over the summer and are experiencing a furnace problem and i was hoping someone might be able to shed some light on it.
We have a Goodman furnace, and propane powered. The problem we are having is that it has an electrical igniter.. ( the people who we bought from told us the furnace was relatively new within the last three years or so) the igniter kicks on fine and this has four burners . It will light the first burner just wonderfully but the other three refuse to ignite. No matter what. We know gas is getting there because of the first burner COuld the other ones jsut be plugged somehow? or what are we missing? they will light if you hold a flame over top of them. but not automatically.
Any help at all is greatly appreciated. :) thanks so much.

You've more than likely got a spider web in the transfer tube that goes from burner to burner.

You need to pull the burners and blow them out good.

Don't operate the furnace untill you fix it, this can cause delayed ignition and can be dangerous.

WiTh Matt here . We call it the pilot lighter strip.Id clean all the burners there .In that strip and in the venturi of each burner. Id also check the gas pressure there on the burners should be 11" W/C when all are on. Check the vent holes , the small screens on all the regulators. After your done check the air mix on the burners. So you have a soft blue flame.
