dusk to dawn lighting?

There is a light fixture that I'm interested in which has both the Dusk to Dawn feature and a motion sensor. I'm unclear on how this functions though.

Does Dusk to Dawn mean that the light is turned on all night? If that is the case, then what is the purpose to the motion sensor.

Does Dusk to Dawn mean that the motion sensor only works when its dark?

It doesn't make sense to have a motion sensor if the light is going to be on all night. It also doesn't make sense for the motion sensor to function during daylight hours.

It's usually one or the other. You can have the light set to come on when it senses motion -OR- you can have it turn on at dusk/off at dawn (yes, on all night long). Most all motion lights sense when it's dark and do not come on during the daylight.
