Shorten Bali Vinyl Mini Blinds

Hey - anybody able to tell me how I can go about shortening the length of my mini blinds, or where I might find this info? Checked Bali's site, but couldn't find a copy of the installation/adjustment instructions which are printed on the opposite side of the packaging. Accidentally threw it out last week.

you're right.....i went to their website, too, and it doesn't have that info anywhere! how aggravating! :mad: to be sure, i'd either email them in the Contact Us section on their website, or go somewhere that sells them & look in their boxes for the instructions.

i've shortened mini blinds myself, but i don't know if they're all made the same. it was pretty easy to figure out once I started undoing them. as i recall: mine had 2 little round "plugs" on the underneath side of the bottom rail. leave the blinds hanging up, and lowered all the way down, and tilted open horizontally. if you'll remove those plugs, you'll see the excess string is in the holes. figure out how many slats you're wanting to remove & remove the bottom rail and the slats, leaving all the string in tact. then just restring the bottom rail, trim off any extra strings/cords, and stuff a reasonable amount of extra string into those holes & plug them up again. if you removed a ton of slats, you may need to trim up the control cords, too.

It is really as simple as undoing the knots inside the bottom rail, removing the unwanted slats, and restring the pull cords. Then cutting the right amount of ladder off. Any questions, email me at xxxxxxxxxxxxx.com
