Can anybody offer us advice on our toilets which seem to back up every other day?
We have a bugalow with 3 toilets, 2 on the main floor and 1 in the basement and none of them seem to work properly. The house was built in 1994 and I am sure these toilets must have been selling off cheap at the time. We use standard city water.
Problem is about every other day we find they get blocked up and we end up using the plunger to clear. The tank also takes at least 2 minutes to refill again despite having installed a fluidmaster and a new flap etc.
I have read some of the threads and I could go and try a drain clear product but I've a feeling it must be a general design fault otherwise I wouldn't get the problem in all of them.
So, do I have any options here or should I bite the bullet and just go invest in a couple of expensive toilet replacements. If the latter, does anyone have any advice as to what to look for eg what makes or models get the job done? I'm sure we are not the only ones with cheap toilets like this so any advice you can give would be welcome.
