Small kitchen window - need ideas

I've done a kitchen remodel and I have one small window (opening is 28x37) and it's not able to take an inside mount of shades since it's nearly flush with the wall. I just put on the new trimwork and I'm not crazy about drilling holes in my new oak so I can mount mini-blinds (which I hate). I need something because I'm not thrilled about my next door neighbor looking in while I'm eating my cereal over the sink while wearing my bathrobe.

Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

do you need full window coverage? or just a valance & cafe curtain to cover the bottom half of the window?

both of those rods would be mounted to the wall.
