i am tiling the bathroom and had tiled the front of the bath, i walked in two hours later, touched the tiles and they all fell off. does any one know how to get ceramic tiles to stick to a hardboard bath front.

I'm sorry but your post left me a little confused. Are you talking about Hardibacker board or hardboard, masonite tile board. If the first, you need to spnge over the board before setting your tile as that board while my favorite to use is also problematic in sucking the moisture out of thinset and if not wiped down first can inhibit the bond between the tile and thinset. If you are talking about the masonite board, then you don't want that there anyway. To get anything to stay stuck, It would need to have the surface sanded down, then there's no water resistance left to it at which point it will just fall apart from moisture, maybe even from the moisture in the thinset.

What are you using to set these tiles, and what way are you applying it to the surface?

What exactly is the surface your tiling?
