is there anyway to strip a particleboard bookcase so i can make it a different color???

Although I am not an expert, I would think that you could apply a couple of layers of Kilz a white primer sold at WalMart or any Home Depo and simple follow with an enamal paint. I know this has been done on a laminated kitchen counter top
