View Full Version : new toilet install on concrete.

my basement has a 3" pvc for the toilet.
i have a 3/4" flange that fits on the outside of
it.

do i need to breakup the concrete to get the flange low enough?
is there a flange that fits inside that i should use instead?

No flange fits inside 3" PVC, usually the height of the riser/pipe before the flange gets glued on will be 1/4" below the finish floor, so when the flange gets glued on the flange ring will set on top of the finish floor, chipping away on the cement around the pipe riser maybe needed for you to glue on the flange.
