11/3/2004 I need to try to replace a Modern Maid Gas stove. It has a cook top with the oven on top. It was purchased in 1971. Does anyone know if this stove can still be bought, as I found out that Modern Maid went out of business.

Thanks Frank F.

Hello Frank F. and Welcome to the Do It Yourself Web Site and my Gas Appliances topic.

Modern Maid went out of business.
Exact stove can no longer be purchased.
Parts are still available at local appliances parts stores.
Dealers and appliances parts stores are listed in the phone book.

Why do you need to replace the appliance?
Or why with one of that brand name?
Other manufacturers have like models with ovens on top too.

Kindly use the reply button to add any additional information or ask additional questions.

Thank you, for responding to me about my need to replace a 1971 Modern Maid stove. If you can tell me what manfacturers make a cooktop stove
with the oven on top, I would appreciate it.
Thanking you in advance
Frank F.

Hi Frank

Do some shopping at the dealers and retailers in your area. Bring the measurements and compare features. Purchase the one that best suites your needs. I cannot tell you whom makes them nor which one to purcahse. All of which are personal choices. Best advice I can offer.

Regards & Good Luck
