Hello,
I am trying to replace one maybe 2 small pieces of board. I am not sure exactly what type of board it is though, it has a texture like woodgrain, it is rotten from termites and water damage. I also have to replace the sash under the window. It looks to be a 2x4 that was cut on an angle. My ? is am I going to need to remove the window to put the sash in underneath it or can I just squeeze it in with long screws or nails, and to replace the board/s how do I remove only the ones damaged? Or do I have to remove all the ones below the damaged ones until I get to the rotten ones. They are about 4/5 boards from the bottom. Also when replacing the shutters should I use tapcons or what is the best anchor method for masonite board?
Thanks, any help is appreciated!

Swetzel, can we assume you are talking about the exterior of the house? Are the rotted boards underneath the sill like a clapboard siding? (the bottom of the top board sits slightly on the top of the board beneath it). You mentioned termites. Has this problem been addressed by a professional?
Are the masonite boards the shutters or is it the material you are attaching the shutters to?
The sill can be replaced without removing the window. Take several measurements LxWxH of the sill and head down to your local lumber yard for a replacement piece. For the length measure the sill on the outside of the house to ensure including the "horns" They will help you select the right sill. There is some carpentry involved so get yourself a good home carpentry book to see how to do the replacement.
