I have a small condo and I am about to start painting the living/dining/stairway/hall (Sagey Green) but I am undecided as to what to do with the trim and doors. The existing interior trim and doors are "apartment grade" covered with a wood grain laminate. My first choice was to paint them another darker shade of the green on the walls but then thought that wouldn't look very good when entering rooms of different colors since doors aren't always closed. Any ideas? maybe something neutral? or a faux finish? I will also be installing bangkirai wood floor. There are also 2 exterior white metal doors. I guess I don't need everyting to match, but at least coordinate with each other. HELP

i prefer for all the woodwork in a home to be the same. i think it creates a sense of flow and allows you the freedom to use different colors on the walls of different rooms, because the woodwork ties it all together. therefore, i'd go with white or cream or stained or whatever is neutral enough that it will work in all the rooms. (you can even paint the metal doors)
