A lotta folks tell me that pellets are much more efficient compared to wood for heating. I don't know what the cost of pellets vs wood is; I do know that wood is a lot more bulky. I got an email newsletter from This Old House with an ad for Prometheus, a wood pellet basket that can go in a wood stove or open fireplace. I have a Regent Heartheater which works well, but I am intrigued by the Prometheus - it's not a permanent conversion, so either can be used. Went to the web site, but no prices are mentioned. Anyone here happen to know what these cost? I'd like to at least get a ball park figure before even considering this.
