We have central air and the air filter is sopping wet. Wet enough to drip out about a half gallon of water (slowly thankfully). I have turned the A/C off, but have no idea what the problem is or what to do now. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Thanks

Is the a/c operating properly? Was the filter clean?
I'de 1st check and make sure the condensate line isn't clogged.
Also if you have a humidifier make sure it's not dumping water through.

check Like Matt said . Can use a shop vac to blow or suck on the drain line. see any ice or frost on the coil? Big copper line should be cold and wet little line warm???

Thanks ya'll, that's all it was. The drainage line was backed up. So simple, but rookies gotta learn somehow I suppose!

Congrats, as a note to remember if you pour a 50/50 solution of bleach and water in the condensate pan once a month it will help this to stay clean.
