My cats shredded the edge of our carpets, where the carpet wraps and the hardwood floors start. I'm hoping I can repair it but don't know how to go about it. Any ideas? I'd prefer not to spend too much on it, but want to fix it/get it fixed, rather than losing our $700 deposit.

I posted pics @ arrowhead-tobacco.com/ann/1.jpg and arrowhead-tobacco.com/ann/2.jpg - any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

FYI - the carpet itself I can get scraps of at the local stores, so it won't be hard to match it.

If a $700 deposit is on the line, call a pro. It is not the job to learn how to make a patch look right.

I agree, a $100 service call, is going to save you a lot of grief. Although, he will have to pull a piece from a closet to use as a patch. You may have to buy a remnant for him to reinstall in the closet.

I have found that no matter what you do, it is rare a tenant sees their security deposit, again. I have only got it back in full, once and we always left the place better then when we moved in. I'm glad I don't rent anymore!
