I replaced a glass panelled door with a solid wood door and came to find out the frame is not square. How can I square up the existing frame, or should I be able to shim the hinges maybe???? Thanks for any help...

Generally it will result in some damage to both the interior and exterior finishes and finish material, however, squaring the frame is the correct way.
