I am insulating my basement ceiling with R-19 Kraft faced insulation. Is that enough or do i need ot put up 4 or 6 mil poly also?

If you have heat and cool down there you dont need any V/B there at all. If no heat and cool paper side to the floor above. If for just sound use the open batts.

Is a vapor barrier a good idea on poured basaement walls?
I am going to finish basement with wood studs and fiberglass insulation.
If barrier is recommended, what side of the insulation should the barrier be installed? Basement is heated.

We hang a 6 mil poly on the cement wall from the sill plate down. Then a stud wall 1" out form it, a R13 in the studs with paper side to the room . A 4 mil poly over that then the drywall.
