I am pulling up gross old carpet and discovering some mismatched vinyl tile underneath. By vinyl tile, I mean the very thin kind of tile, such as you might find in an office. I read somewhere that it was possible to paint over this type of tile. has anyone done this before and can you give me some hints?

I'm not sure about the condition of the tiles below. But I do know that if you use a product called Binz Primer/Sealer (Its a primer for non-pourous surfaces) Then you can use your choice of paint and cover with at least 4 coats of water based polyurethane
