One of the best "tools" I have for home maintenance is the internet because it gives me access to invaluable resources like this forum. But I am thinking about picking up a book that I can have around the house as a reference guide. There seem to be several out there and am wondering is someone has a recommendation. Some I have seen reference codes and things so if that matters I shouild mention I am in Canada.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Stephen,

I'm afraid I can't suggest a specific book but a good place to look, at least to get some ideas is your local library.
What I have found is that no single book will go into enough detail on any one subject to be of much use.

Hopefully someone else may have a name of a specific book.

I have personally built up a small (30 books or so) library from purchases made at used book stores, garage sales and thrift shops. Some large hardcovers going for a dollar (or Loonie as the case may be) or two.
