Here's my question....I have metal chairs in my kitchen that have material for the seat part. The material is white. I would like to dye them a dark green. The seat part of the chair is not detachable. What kind of dye would work best for this? I want to make sure no dye gets on clothing when we sit. Any advice would be "greatly" appreciated.

I'm an upholster, and i wouldn't dye something on the chair it will soak into the foam and the cotton.

When you dye something that has been used you have the problem of oil, stains in the fabric and the dye will be differents shades. The body oil on the seats. Not a real good idea...... Plus if it has any polyester in the material doesn't accept the dye. Not a good idea.

Just my opinion :)
