We live in a very humid coastal city, and the powder-coated hanger that we had for our hummingbird feeder was so badly rusted after 3 years it was flaking apart and moisture had wicked along the lag bolts into the wall and caused a moderate amount of rot in the window framing.

So in replacing it, I don't want to use anything iron or steel (well maybe stainless steel). I don't care if it is totally powder coated, epoxy coated, whatever. They don't last! I have powder coated cast aluminum outdoor lights that are totally trashed.

I was thinking of finding something in copper, and using brass screws and setting the bracket in silicone as it goes against the wall. Problem is finding copper wall brackets.

I found this at Orchard Supply yesterday, the HoldAll Brushed Copper Bracket http://www.amertac.com/ezMerchant/products.nsf/ItemMasterLookup/p1273?OpenDocument but I am not 100% sure it is solid copper, description on the package says "Decorative brushed copper finish"- the red flag for me is the "copper finish"- we think it's some kind of plating.

Can anyone suggest an outdoor wall bracket that is made of something that won't rust and fall apart in 2 or 3 years?

Thanks
