I've had this washing machine for about 3 years and it stopped spinning all of suden. My question is does the washing machine have a belt.

Hello. I am by no means an authority on this, but after having the same issue with a Kenmore washer, which I think is made by Whirlpool, chances are, it is direct driven. This means no belt. Plus your washer isn't that old, and I can only assume that belts aren't being used as much in newer washers. Probably because they don't want to make it that easy for do it yourselfers.
