I am selling a washer- dryer and someone asked if it is electric or gas. I said electric but the wife, yeah the wife, thought she heard that they could be both.
What's the story?

Hello: coopns
For the purpose of clothes drying, the answer is no. The dryer either uses an electric heating element or a gas burner flame. Both types of machines use electric to run all the other operations & functions.
