HI I have a kitchenaid washing machine it is 7 years old.and yesterday I went to put the wash in the dryer and the water was out but the clothes are very wet. I tried to put it on spin but it would only make a oddd noise and not spin. i fear calling a repairman and was wondering if my husband or son could fix it...thanks :)

Why does everyone fear the repairman? The most common problem with this scenario is the drive coupling is worn and needs replacing. It's not too difficult if your guys are mechanically inclined. It's a matter of remove the cabinet, remove the motor, replace the coupling, and reassemble.
