I'm wondering if the PUR filter that Kenmore advertises would work for the Whirlpool equivalent. I purchased a Whirlpool Conquest, which when looking at Kenmore, was the same as a Kenmore Elite model Sears had. The only difference I found was the price, name, and Whirlpool saying to use their filter and Kenmore saying to use the Pur filter.

Hi,
Yes i carry the kenmore water filter in my sears van, it fits all whirlpool Side X Sides if the filter is the long one in the kickplate at the bottom left front side.

I would post a picture, but they have the attachments turned off on this board.

Since I don't have the fridge yet, I'm not sure if it's the long one, but I do remember the filter is on the kick plate.
