My kenmore gas oven will not work in the bake mode. Everything else works fine including the broiler. I replaced the bake ignitor. Still won't light. There is power going to the ignitor, but it will not glow unless it is jumped to ground, then it will glow brightly but the gas will not turn on. Do I have a faulty control valve?

Hello bobbomatthews and Welcome to the Do It Yourself Web Site and my Gas Appliances topic.
Very possible the gas control valve is defective. Replacing that part should resolve the problem since current is at the hot surface ignitor. Turn off the gas and remove the control. Purchase a new part at any local appliance parts store. Bring the make, model and serial numbers to be sure you get the correct part for tha appliance.
