I have a 4 or 5 ton Lennox unit (HS26-060) and I'm getting an estimate of $1200 to replace and install a new coil. Does this sound about right?

Sounds a little on the high side but depending on your location that could be close. How old is the system it's in? You may be better off applying that 1,000 bucks toward a new system.

is it a txv metered coil? if so, and depending on your location and accesibility to the coil, not too out of line
