Is it possible to replace the freezer door on my Whirlpool side-by-side so as to eliminate the water and ice dispenser which takes up way too much room (and I don't use it anyway)? Or is it cheaper to buy a new fridge?

No , they dont make a inter-changeable freezer door to change to a standard door, if you have the ice/water dispenser. Wish they did though. :)
