When I turn on the hot water faucet in the bathroom closest to the hot water tank, it makes a groaning noise. The noise disappears as the faucet is opened up further.
It only happens at this hot water faucet. All the other hot water faucets are further away from the hot water heater.
Is this caused by air in the line? How do I eliminate the problem?

Doubt that it's air. More than likely it's a loose washer or seal in that faucet. Should take about 10 minutes and less than $5.00 worth of parts to fix it.
