AC unit is 1.5 years old. Unit was checked in last month, with no problems. Today the we turned the temp up to 74 which in turned shut off the unit, one hour later I turned the temp back down to 72 and nothing happened. The panel inside the house made it's usual click sound however nothing else comes on. The air handler in the attic does not come on and the outside unit is completely dead as well. Any ideas. I have checked and rechecked the fuse panel in the garage and the breakers in the attic and outside. BTW, I live in south Florida, yes we still have power, but it is hot, damp, humid and just plain nasty with no A/C.

As you have checked all the fuse and breakers . Next you have to get a meter and start to find it and what the voltage is. Down here with power on and off it can be anything. First check transformer for 24 volts. If you jump R to G on the tstat do you get the fan inside????
Hey I have been with out power for a week now So I know its hot. Just got it back on today
