Any advise for drilling holes into a porcelain countertop for a new faucet????

This may be of assistance.
Since porcelain is pretty close to glass in hardness and finish and depending on the size of the hole and the depth, you will need a drill bit constructed of at least tungsten carbide, perhaps diamond.
