I have a 115HP Merc O/B, on a 16' Cobra. Everything was fine till about 2 weeks ago when I tried to take a friend out for a spin. The motor wouldn't start. I started checking things out and found that there was no spark in cylinders 2,4, and 6. I was pretty sure that the problem was the switchbox for those three cylinders, so I bought a new one and changed it out. No Luck! same problem. Any ideas would be MUCH appreciated.

depending on the year of your merc you may have rubber coated wires and thi insulation has broken down and caused a short. Check the wireing that feeds the switch box, for shorts to ground.
