Any suggestions....I cleaned the coils, the freezer works fine, there seems to be sufficient air movement, the defrost pan was bone dry. It seems to intermittantly freeze the milk ect and it is set where it has been for 10 years. I didn't take any of the controls apart yet...any suggestions on where to start?

Place a thermometer in fridge. Temp should be between 35 and 42 degrees. You know things freeze at 32 degrees. If temp is about 35, then turn up the temperature setting. Fridges are usually colder on bottom shelf. Products that seem to freeze should be placed on a higher shelf where it is warmer. Remember, cold air sinks and warm air rises. If reducing temp and moving items to higher shelf does not work, then you may have a defective thermostat. Other possible problems may be a leak in the sealed freon system, cold air migration in side-by-side-models, or a defective air damper. Sometimes problems can be difficult to locate and correct, so you may need to call a repairman.
