I had some nail polish stains on my leather sofa. I tried to remove it with some nail polish remover which accidently spilled on the sofa. The Acetone in the nail polish remover seems to have removed a coating on the leather leaving a lighter, discolored patch of about 3 inch by 2 inch in size. Is there anything that can be done to restore the leather? Any advice is welcome.

Leather cleaning is best left to a professional. Contact a firm that specializes in cleaning leather furniture and making repairs. Perhaps it's possible to restore dye loss. Solvents should never be used on leather. They tend to make leather brittle.
