I have a provacy fence that runs parallel to the side of my house about 10 feet away. I want to install a gate at the back corner of my house running to the fence but I want to maintain the full opening. It's a 6ft wood privacy fence and I want a gate that matches. I was thinking about some type of rolling gate that will slide open parrellel to the back of my house. I have a welder and some metal fab. equipment so that won't be a problem. I'm thinking some kind of roller deal but I'm not sure how to go about it.
I guess my main concern is that once the gate is about 3/4 of the way open it's gonna tip and dig into the ground.

Not sure how my rendering will show up... The idea is to have the gate roll "down" as shown in the picture. I don't have any windows on that corner of the house so it should be OK if I can get the kinks figured out. I don't want a swinging gate/gates becouse that area is my shop access.
Ant ideas?

Either see Leftys' older posts for an alternate gate opener, or go to a chain link fence site like Master Halco or Merchant Metals. Both have the rollers and other assemblies you need. I don't think you need more help than that.

Rolling gate -- Master Halco or whomever. They've got the hardware and it works. The added weight of the fence boards isn't a problem.
