A couple of weeks back, a door spring broke on our Kenmore Quiet Supreme Dishwasher Mod.# 587 - 1574590. I'm just now getting around to looking at it and my wife informs me that the Detergent Dispenser has quit working as well, probably at or near the same time that the door spring broke. Are these two problems related, or is this just a coincidence? The door spring I can figure out OK, but what should I look for on the Detergent dispenser?
She says that if she shuts the dispenser "door" (spins it closed), that it won't open during the cycle, so she's just been "tossing" the detergent into the dishwasher before she starts it.
Any tips would be appreciated.
