House was on fire. In the process of restoration. Adjuster recommended

(In northern california )

Vanderbilt Construction Inc
Hughes Construction
Mark and Scott Construction
Brazer Construction Company

I was wondering if anyone has used their services before and would be willing to give some opinion. Also if there was a specific project manager that you worked with and would like to refer....

Please help me out

I am in southern California and had many firnds/aquantances who lost homes a year ago in our fires. I will ask and see if anyone recognized any of those.

Ask for references with whom you can speak, preferably their last five projects.Visit job sites. Ask how they conducted themselves with regards to change orders. Did they follow the letter of their contract. Were there escrow/disbursment accounts, was the job site maintained in a secure condition and clean and orderly?

I would also clarify with them about other projects they are actively working on, how much time per week can be (and WILL BE) devoted to yours. You could put it right in the contract to require no other active projects while yours is being worked on, etc.
