We are currently remodeling our bathroom. It turns out that where the new shower is going to there is an AC/Heat vent on that wall. The contractor said that he can move the vent to the top of the wall (from the bottom) but it will still be in the "shower area/wall" but not accessible to water.
We are not able to move the vent over to the right since the whole house return is in the way.
IS what the contractor proposing alright to do? Or should we try to get him to move the duct work straight up to the attic and then put the vent on the ceiling outside the shower stall area?

Hard to tell when you dont see it. if that wall stack in the wall comes from tthe basement it can be moved any where in the new bath Id think. You for sure dont want that register in the shower when the AC is on.
