We emptied our kitchen fridge last week so the house could be tented for termites. We moved back in yesterday and began restocking it. But the machine seems to be cooling less well than it did just days ago; drinks are cool but not chilled, and the cubes from the icemaker are wet.
This made me remember something a friend told me about possibly harming a refrigerator by turning it off. I paid no attention at the time because it seemed counter-intuitive. But is there anything to what she said? Could we have ruined our icebox by pulling the plug?
