My fridge is a Kenmore built in 1996 which came with my house. It has a dial that sets level of cold (1-5) and another for directing it to the fridge or freezer (1-5). It seems no matter where I set it, the greens and veggies on the bottom shelf are frozen solid. Right now its set for all cold air to go to freezer (was set at 3 over the weekend when the carrots froze) and this morning (set at 5) the lettuce was frozen too.

A model no. would be helpful. You might have a bad thermostat (coldcontrol) or you may have a bad or stuck air damper (if its electronic) Doug
