I'm trying to downplay the light yellow in the vinyl siding by changing out the green shutters and painted green deck. Any color suggestions to make the yellow look less yellow?

I think light colors on trim lighten the body color and dark colors darken the body. Also trim tends to give its "aura" to the body as in a forrest green will make a grey look more green while a royal blue will make a grey look blue-grey. How about a white or light cream to lighten the yellow? Take the shutters off and hold up some other colors (on paper) to get a feel for it.

Thanks for the advice. I had considered white, but hadn't thought of a cream. I can take a pair off the back of the house and spray them a cream to see how they look... then go to white if the cream doesn't work. Once again, thanks. The kelly green makes the light yellow a very pronounced yellow. Ick..... smiles
