We have mirrored glass doors in our bedroom closets, and we just had a new carpet installed. Apparently the new carpet is quite a bit higher than the old one, and the doors don't fit. What can be done about this? Can they be cut? Thanks.

yes they can be cut, but your taking a chance it may brake.
Think about cutting the carpet, on both sides of your trackand leaving the underlayment? But you'll need to lay some more tack strips for where you cut it.
If you really really want to cut the doors down, take them to a glass shop and have them do it, less likely to brake.

mirrored doors have adjustments at either the bottom or top for hieght.
It may work too to remove the padding from beneath the track area and approximately an inch to each side of the track.
It may also be easier to trace the top track and cutout the sheetrock which will allow 1/2" more hieght.
