What is the going rate and how much should I be paying for a chimney sweep & Level 1 inspection? Locate in the North East. I was quoted approx. $130.00, however, this seems a little high to me. Fireplace is masonary, chimney is 2 stories high. Any comments appreciated. Thanks

 I just got mine cleaned today for $30 on Long Island. Most specials I've seen are for $40. I have a 2 story chimney from my oil burner, no wood burning fireplace. I felt like tried to upsell me on the other stuff so I passed ($100 for a new cap (which I knew needed), and another $200  to patch some (supposed) cracks in the concrete on top of the chimney.
:( Looks like I have a project for this weekend.
