I have a 27" SONY TV, it suddenly shut off.

I have checked the fuse, it is ok. I have power to the circuit board. I previously had soldered in a new power switch a while back but checked that and it is fine. No loose connections.

How can I diagnose the problem? I have a volt meter, but what to I check to see if the board is ok?

Any suggestions? What about getting repair or parts?

THANKS!

A little more info would help, e.g. model number; does the standby light blink?

Same prob for me...spontaneous loss of picture and sound and only an audible click on the inside when power button pushed. "TIMER PROG" light blinks, so it might be related to the timer feature, but HOW?
Model # PVQ130WA, TV/VCR combo, 2 years old, was working perfectly.
