Hi,
I have a four year old Maytag washer. Over the last few weeks it has started to make a squeaky noise when it is in the wash cycle. It's always made some noise, but this is a higher pitched squeak and louder than normal.
Any ideas?

Hello Vmusic and Welcome to the Do-It-Yourself Web Site.
Possible the belt is the cause. Belt located under washer. May also be a pulley squeaky noise. Inspect both belt and pulleys.
